Exporting (Marking & Saving) Record for Printing, E-Mailing and Downloading

MARQCAT's Export feature may be used to create customized bibliographies to print, download to disk, or e-mail to an Internet e-mail address. MARQCAT will save up to 1000 records during a search session. The Export process consists of the following steps:

• Mark Records: When viewing a list of records in the browse display, click or place a check in the box to the left of each chosen record. At the bottom of the display, click the SAVE MARKED RECORDS button. Select Next Page to continue viewing, marking and saving records. When done marking records, select EXPORT RECORDS to continue the export process or choose ANOTHER SEARCH or MAIN MENU to continue searching and marking records.
• Choose Action and Format: Clicking the EXPORT RECORDS button displays a table of choices followed by a brief display of the saved records.

Send List To:

Browser - redisplays saved records in chosen format for printing

E-mail - sends list in chosen format to designated e-mail address

Local disk - sends list in chosen format to floppy disk on a University computer, or the hard drive if you are using a personal computer

Format of List:

Brief Display - author, title, date and call number

Pro-Cite - for use with this reference manager software

Full Display - author, title, publisher, place, date, subject headings, notes, location and call number

End Note - for use with this reference manager software

MARC - technical display of bibliographic data

Make the Send List and Format choice, then click CONTINUE
